I heart you

Weddings happen for a reason. Yes, two people fall in love and they are committing themselves in front of all their loved ones.
~On that note- all my love and best wishes to Scott & Krystal ( my step brother) whose wedding we attended this weekend.~

But I think weddings happen for those in the audience as well.

Every time we go to wedding, it seems to be a chance to renew my vows. Watching other young, enthusiastic love, reminds me that it wasn't too long ago that Dale and I were that way. Nowadays, life gets so busy we often take each other for granted, and expressing and showing our love often gets put on the short list.
So my theory is that weddings come into our lives for a reason. A chance to support the near and dear to our heart in their journey, as well as to remind ourselves of the journey we are already on.

Case in point. take the weddings we have been lucky enough to attend over the last couple of years. They all took place in an integral part of our life as well, an opportune time for us to revisit our love for each other.
Freya and Jason's wedding- just a month prior to ours, an opportunity for us to realize what we were in for, and we were able to look at each other with confidence knowing what we were' getting into.
Angela &  Pat's wedding-  I was 8 months pregnant and again, an important time in our life where we were able to reaffirm our love to each other.
Julie and Kyle's wedding - Annie was almost a year old, and the marriage took place at Lone Pine Ranch, where we got married. A great spot in our lives, literally, where we could take a step back and see how far we had come as a married couple.
Scott & Krystal's Wedding- you know what they say, "if you can survive a reno together, your marriage will last". As we begin the process of totally renovating our house ( another post altogether), we have had a few, just a few, more quarrels and nights of falling asleep on the couch at 8 pm. Another wedding to think about our amazing love for each other before we battle the storm that is to brew...

SO many 'post ideas', so little time.

Here are a few pics captured of my darling little Annie Jane and her cousin " Ro-Ro"..
