first family outing

yes , we are geeks. thats why we got married and are now trying to repopulate the world with more geeks like us.

we went on our first official family outing last weekend.

Kelowna's new bridge had a grand opening party down at City park, so Dale and I spent the afternoon down there checking out the booths, old pics, eating and walking across the bridge and back. It was about a 1 km walk each way, pretty cool to be able to walk it beforevit opens. Cause goodness knows I will never walk it once there is traffic on there.

It was a fun day, with little junior pics in my purse, we practiced doing the 'family thing'. I think we are going to make it :)

The Latest , and well, not so the Greatest

Monday I came home from work. I saw Ginger outside. Weird. I instantly ( I know, bad wife) was furious with Dale for leaving little Gingi Pants outside by accident all day in the pouring rain. I went to unlock th front door, and the dead bolt we NEVER use was on. Weird. I continued around back, to find the back door unlocked. I phoned Dale immediately, while consoling both digs ( Nooker had been inside because it was raining!)
After talking to Dale, he assured me none of this was his fault, so as I started to walk around the house, I began to wonder if perhaps someone had been inside?! Everything looked normal, just how we left it. I went to put my keys down in their ususal spot when I noticed the change jars. All lined up in a pretty row, but 2 ( the more' expensive loonie and quarters ones) empty. We never empty our change jars. I think we hope for a miracle that they will strike us rich one day.
I now was assured that yes, someone had been in our house, Ginger got outside, they were freaked out by our good, but inside day watch dog Nooker, and took off.
I am still devastated. Although the change jars appeared to be the only thing gone ( actually the jars remain, but no moula) it is such an invasion of privacy and safe feeling. And FYI you young idiotic criminals, don't mess with a pregnant woman.
The cops came several hours later to check it all out, baffled like I was that so little ( but thankful of course) was gone.
Ginger is still completely traumitized. She has been up all night, pooping in the house?? whining and not acting herself. I feel SO bad for the little thing.
And myself... I sobbed all the way to work the Tuesday morning, afraid to leave my house unattended. When my usual " how are you feeling this morning" starting chiming into my room as co-workers passed by, I began to cry irrationally. Hormones. I just can't help it. I feel so violated and unsafe. To add icing ontop of this peachy pie, Dale is going to Whistler in a couple of days. I forced him to help me pick out a new dead bolt for the back door, and install it, with the help of cousin Jeff. We also got new blinds for the back so that people couldn't see our riches.. lol.

Sucks so bad. Don't wish it upon many. Whenver Dale's store gets broken into, we cringe. This however, is supposed ot be your home, your safe haven. Grrrr. How dare people.

Checking off another exciting milestone in the process...
Ultrasound day- 20 weeks. Enjoyed the rest of the day gardening. Finally got my veggies planted for the year!
"Dale honey, can you do one zoomed in on just the belly?" This is what I found on the canmera after...hmmm... they are growing, but not quite my belly. men.

Unfortuantely, the pictures scanned small and dark. Not at all as beautiful, amazing and unbelievable as the ones I hold in my hands, or the ones I saw first hand yesterday on that doctor's screen.
One baby- one healthy, normal looking baby to put all my nightmares to rest.

What a crazy experience. Looking at this picture of something inside of you. How did I I ever create this little being, and allow it ever grow this big? A true miracle, it really is. I still have troubles connecting the pictures, and the video yesterday to what is actually happening inside of me.
I can't wait to meet my little pumpkin.

My fav. Such a cutie patootie. If I can find a way to re-scan so the image is better I will. For now, your going to have to pay me visit to see the real pics and the rapidly growing belly!

i lied

i thought i was mostly over the baby torture. i was sadly mistaken.
this morning as i was heaving over the toilet, i saw gushes of blood. great i thought to myself, now i am puking blood. but no. it was a nosebleed, at the same time! who da thunk it?
wonderful start to my day.
but to make up for it - i'm pretty sure baby gave me a little nudge today!!
A weird little tingly tap on my side as i sat at my desk this afternoon. the visual of bubbles rising to the top of a glass comes to mind- but the physical feeling . weird. i hope it happens again. my first 'movement'. yay!
we go for our first ultrasound thursday. too excited, and scared at the same time.
i'm such a worry wart.

Everyone happy now! ?

I'm back!

Long hiatus hey? Good word too. God I am meant to be doing this!
I have been inspired as one of my friends has started a blog. I don't want to her to fall victim to stoppping. Like all the other people I have lost faith in.
And most importantly, I don't want to be one of those people either. (Actually, plus my satelite is down so no TV, and I have stopped praying to the porcelian gods, which between those two, I was doing ALOT of).
I still can't see to forgive myself for letting down my readers, friends and family during this process of pregnancy.
I am ON it. NO more slacky slacky. And if I do, no I will not give up my first born. We have been through hell and back together already.
