SAY NO TO CRACK...at least now is a good time
Well, it looks like the police may finally be listning to the entire neighbourhood's plea regarding our crackhouse neighbours. Frick- it is so frustrating!
Almost every neighbour has a file started - and we are always calling in stolen vehicles and drug deals. Weird people walk into the house and now they have started to park further down the street, ie. closer to in front of our house!??, and walk there- thinking that no one knows what they are doing- apparently when you are high on cheap crack you can think you are sneaky.
Anyways, enough ranting- you have all heard my milllion and one stories about this house. But here is the kicker:
Yesterday, the minutes form a council meeting came out to public about the policing in Kelowna...and surprise, surprise, the poll showed that people here wern't happy with what is being done about these kind of houses, crimes and such in town.
So last night, sure enough, cops we out in full force in front of our house- doing mini stakeouts. Something we have begged them to do for months!
No complaining here by any means...I'll pay that car to be watching our block...just an observation that ain't life funny!?

isee the links normally on the right,
crime, drugs and violence have been bad here too, and it all leads to drug use, we need a better upstream approach to this problem, i tried to attack it in kelowna in my political nursing semester in 4th year by using the media and key contacts in IHA, such a sad problem, so many barriers, hopefully we can figure this out
