A letter to my one year old daughter Annie, Oct. 2009
You have recently turned one and it amazes me how fast time has flown!
It feels like yesterday I was carrying you in my belly. I will never forget the months we shared before you arrived on this earth. It is a special bond that no one can ever take away from us.
The day you were born was the happiest moment in your Dad and I’s life. To watch you grow into the little girl you have become today has been incredible. Words can not describe the joy you have brought to our lives. You are so precious to us and not a day goes by that we don’t we smile in pure amazement at you. We love you to bits and tell you that everyday.
You are a gentle and sweet.
You have a happiness about you that wears off on those around you. I hope you keep this nature about you as you grow up.
You have an infectious smile and a laugh that brings tears of joy into my eyes.
You have always been a good sleeper and a good eater. Every parents dream.
You are a very smart girl. Learning something new everyday. You love your sign language DVD and use your signing more and more each day.
Your favourite thing to do right now is put things ‘in’ and take things ‘out.’
You crawl around the house like a mad woman, determination on your face.
You are inquisitive and yet cautious.
You love other kids, but are often hesitant around them.
You have two bottom teeth and we think we have counted 6 more well on their way.
You have beautiful blue eyes.
You love to wave hello and goodbye to us at the front window.
You are so happy to see us when you wake up. We are so happy to see you too.
We are so lucky to have you as our daughter.
Happy 1st Birthday Annie Janie.
We love you to bits and pieces.
